Waterfowl Outdoors, Inc was founded in April of 2004 by its President, Jim Rung.
Jim's interest in waterfowl started at an early age and was deep-rooted while hunting the famous Sothern Illinois Crab Orchard refuge. Jim's duck and goose hunting ability was acquired by years of hunting waterfowl from the early Canada season to the closing Arkansas season. The pursuit of waterfowl hunting has educated Jim to be a successful hunter and guide. Jim has even been published in two national magazines, Ducks Unlimited and Waterfowler.

Waterfowl Outdoors, Inc is located in Lake Villa, Illinois. Waterfowl Outdoors, Inc. supports all Beavertail products, numerous mud motors and waterfowl accessories. Waterfowl Outdoors, Inc. is best know for it assembly of mud motors (longtails) using the Beavertail Frame and a customer's engine. The mud motor assembly has been so well received, that Waterfowl Outdoors, Inc. has developed a strong working relationship with Beavertail.

Waterfowl Outdoors, Inc. endeavors to provide the local waterfowl hunter another regional source in obtaining quality craftmanship of Beavertail products. This includes, backwater mud motors, boat blinds, layout blinds, custom duck boats, and hunting boat accessories.
